Personal and Derivative Data

Memoir Genealogy collects information, such as your name, shipping address, email address, and telephone number that you voluntarily provide when you register with the site. This data collection may include information you provide when entering contests or giveaways and/or responding to surveys. The data we collect provides a smooth customer experience and will never be sold to a third-party. You are under no obligation to provide personal information of any kind, however, your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the site. Your order information will be securely maintained for up to ten years in order to allow ongoing access to your downloadable products unless you request to be removed. Our servers automatically collect derivative information when you access the site, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the site.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website as part of a story submission, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Financial Data

Memoir Genealogy stores very limited, if any, financial information that we collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services. You are encouraged to review their privacy policies and contact them directly for responses to your questions.

Memoir Genealogy may use cookies to help customize the site and improve your experience. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
